DDr. Ashka has been treating children for the last fifteen years and she hopes to do it for many years to come! “Time flies when you are having fun” is her motto and she feels like that everyday when she comes to work at CPD. Dr. Ashka enjoys treating her pediatric patients and loves to get to know them and their families. She can’t believe that she has known some of them from the first day she started working at the office and has watched them grow up to be the best patients anyone could ask for. In addition to treating her lively patients when she’s at work, she loves coming up with office contests, raffles and games for patients and families to enjoy. Announcing the winners is always a treat for the whole office!
Dr. Ashka was born in Montreal, Canada and escaped the cold to sunny Orlando, Florida where she grew up. She got two Bachelors degrees from University of Central Florida in Molecular Biology and Molecular Biology as well as one in Anthropology. She then continued her education at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine where she received her degree in Doctor of Dental Medicine. She realized early on in dental school that she had a passion for treating children so she went on to complete two years of additional training in pediatric dentistry at Nova Southeastern University and Miami Children’s Hospital. After completing her training, she went on to become an attending at Miami Children’s Hospital, educating other dentists to follow their love of pediatric dentistry. Finally, in 2013 she and her twin sister decided to start Chelsea Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics to offer the best pediatric dental care for the children of Chelsea and the surrounding areas. For Dr. Ashka, this is just the start of her journey in pediatric dentistry and she can’t wait to see what the future will bring. In her extra fun time outside of Chelsea Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics, Dr. Ashka enjoys interior design work, reading witty and inspirational books, traveling to far off places, being active both indoors and out and spoiling her niece and nephew.
